Question 1

Do I really just… text?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Text (844) 482-4881 like you'd text a customer that the order's at the door. "DoorDash $214," "drove 86 miles," "what do I owe?" — Toozi logs it, sorts it, and answers. No app, no login.

Question 2

What can a delivery driver write off?

Accepted Answer

Business miles at the IRS standard rate (or your actual car costs, not both), hot bags and coolers, phone mount and chargers, the business share of your phone plan, tolls and parking during deliveries, and the fees the apps take. Toozi sorts each one for Schedule C.

Question 3

I drive for three apps. Is that three businesses?

Accepted Answer

Usually it's one delivery business with three income sources, and one Schedule C. Toozi keeps each app on its own line so you can see which pays, then adds them up for the return.

Question 4

Which miles count?

Accepted Answer

Miles while you're working — heading to a pickup, carrying an order, and between orders. Personal driving doesn't. Keep the log current; Toozi stores the date, miles, and purpose the IRS asks for.

Question 5

Do I need to pay quarterly taxes?

Accepted Answer

If you expect to owe $1,000 or more for the year, yes. Toozi estimates it from your payouts and miles and texts you before each due date with the amount.

Question 6

How is that different from Stride or Everlance?

Accepted Answer

Those track miles. Toozi tracks miles and the rest of your business, keeps the quarterly estimate current, and files the return. One thread instead of three apps.

Question 7

Is my financial data safe?

Accepted Answer

256-bit AES encryption at rest and in transit, bank connections through Plaid (same infrastructure as Venmo), and payments through Stripe — your card data never touches our servers.

Question 8

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. No contract, no cancellation fee. Text "cancel" and you're done — and you can export your books first.

Every app, every mile, one text thread.

Have Toozi text you first
