Question 1

Do I really just… text?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Text (844) 482-4881 like you'd text a regular. "Full set $65," "booth rent $450," "what do I owe?" — Toozi logs it, sorts it, and answers. No app, no login.

Question 2

What can a nail tech write off?

Accepted Answer

Gel, acrylic, tips, files, buffers, e-file bits, lamps, your table and chair, booth or suite rent, your license and renewal fees, continuing education, and the business share of your phone. Toozi sorts each one for Schedule C.

Question 3

Do I have to report cash tips?

Accepted Answer

Yes, tips are taxable income whether they come by cash, card, or Zelle. Text them with the service — "$65 plus $10 tip" — and Toozi keeps the math right.

Question 4

I rent a booth. Does Toozi work for that?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Booth renters are self-employed, so you file a Schedule C and pay quarterly estimated taxes. Toozi tracks your income, logs rent as a deduction, and tells you what to set aside each quarter.

Question 5

I sell polish and cuticle oil at my station. What about sales tax?

Accepted Answer

Toozi tracks sales tax on the product you sell, tells you when it's due in your state, and reminds you before the deadline. Retail stays separate from your service income.

Question 6

How is that different from Keeper or QuickBooks?

Accepted Answer

Keeper is built around finding write-offs after the fact. QuickBooks makes you sit at a computer and learn software. Toozi keeps your sets, supplies, and rent current from your phone, between clients.

Question 7

Is my financial data safe?

Accepted Answer

256-bit AES encryption at rest and in transit, bank connections through Plaid (same infrastructure as Venmo), and payments through Stripe — your card data never touches our servers.

Question 8

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. No contract, no cancellation fee. Text "cancel" and you're done — and you can export your books first.

Run your nail business from one text thread.
