Welcome to Toozi. These terms are written in plain English because we think legal documents shouldn't require a lawyer to understand. By using Toozi, you agree to these terms.
What Toozi Is
Toozi is a business management platform that helps freelancers and small business owners manage invoicing, bookkeeping, tax estimates, bill tracking, time tracking, and compliance — primarily through text message (SMS), with a web dashboard available at toozitax.app.
SMS Messaging Program
Toozi delivers most of its features through SMS text messaging. By opting in with your phone number, you consent to receive text messages from Toozi at the number you provide.
Types of messages. Service-related messages may include account alerts, income and expense confirmations, bill due-date reminders, invoice status updates, tax deadline and quarterly estimate alerts, mileage logs, weekly financial summaries, and replies from the Toozi AI assistant. Promotional messages may include subscription updates, new feature announcements, and seasonal tax-savings tips.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies.
Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out. Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from Toozi unless you re-subscribe. You may also disable SMS notifications in your account settings.

AI & Automated Processing
Toozi uses artificial intelligence powered by Anthropic Claude to provide several features including: automatic transaction categorization, tax estimation and quarterly projections, SMS intent classification and conversational assistant, document and receipt extraction, personalized business recommendations, calendar event billing detection, and micro-habit generation.
When you use AI-powered features, relevant data (such as transaction descriptions, SMS message content, uploaded documents, conversation history, and business profile details) is sent to Anthropic's API for real-time processing. Anthropic does not store your data for model training purposes.
AI-generated outputs — including tax estimates, expense categorizations, business recommendations, and compliance suggestions — are assistive tools. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of any AI-generated output before relying on it for financial, tax, or business decisions.
Toozi is not a substitute for professional tax, legal, or financial advice. AI-generated tax estimates and categorizations are approximations based on the information you provide.

Your Account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Toozi
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
- You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- One account per person — don't share accounts
- Provide accurate information — we rely on the data you give us to generate tax estimates and financial reports
Subscription & Billing
- Toozi costs $49 per month
- Your subscription renews automatically each month
- You can cancel anytime from Settings — no cancellation fees, no contracts
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds on partial months — if you cancel mid-month, you'll have access until the end of that billing period
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice — existing subscribers will be notified via email
- Payment is processed securely through Stripe
What Toozi Is NOT
This is important:
- ✗Toozi is NOT a licensed accounting firm
- ✗Toozi is NOT a certified public accountant (CPA)
- ✗Toozi is NOT a tax preparation service
- ✗Toozi provides financial tools, estimates, and organization — not licensed tax advice
- ✗For complex tax situations, Toozi will recommend you consult a licensed professional
- ✗Tax estimates are based on the data you provide and standard tax rates — they are estimates, not guaranteed calculations
Your Data
- You own your data. Always.
- We store and process your data to provide the service
- You can export your data at any time
- You can delete your account and all data at any time from Settings

Acceptable Use
Don't use Toozi to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Commit fraud or misrepresent your finances
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
- Use automated systems to scrape or extract data from Toozi
- Send spam or unsolicited messages through our SMS system
Intellectual Property
- Toozi, the Toozi logo, and all agent names (TooziPay, TooziBooks, TooziSales, TooziBills, TooziAdmin, TooziTime) are trademarks of Toozi
- The service, its design, and its code are our intellectual property
- Your data belongs to you — our IP covers the product itself, not your content
Limitation of Liability
- Toozi is provided "as is" — we do our best, but we can't guarantee perfection
- We are not liable for filing errors, missed deadlines, or incorrect tax estimates resulting from incomplete or inaccurate data
- We are not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions, data loss, or third-party service failures
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Service Availability
- We aim for 99.9% uptime but don't guarantee it
- We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with notice
- In the event of discontinuation, we'll provide at least 90 days' notice and data export options
Termination
- You can close your account at any time from Settings
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
Dispute Resolution
- We'll try to resolve disputes informally first — email us at hello@toozitax.app
- If we can't resolve it, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
