Getting Started
How do I connect my bank account?
Go to Connections and click 'Add Connection.' Link your bank. It's encrypted. Transactions show up in a few minutes.
How do I send my first invoice?
Text Toozi 'Send [client name] an invoice for [amount].' Or click 'New Invoice' in PayHabit. Your client gets it by email and text.
How do I set up SMS?
Go to Settings → Connect SMS. Enter your number and the code we send. Then text Toozi to run your business.
What's the first thing I should do after signing up?
(1) Connect your bank. (2) Set up SMS. (3) Send your first invoice. About 5 minutes.

TooziPay — Invoicing & Payments
How do I send an invoice?
Text 'Send [name] an invoice for [amount].' TooziPay sends it by email and text, tells you when it's opened, and sends reminders.
Can clients pay online?
Yes. Every invoice has a safe pay link: card or bank transfer, through Stripe.
How do I track who's paid?
The Payments page shows each invoice: sent, opened, paid, or late. You get a text when a client pays.
TooziBooks — Bookkeeping
How do I log an expense?
Text what you spent, like 'I spent $47 at Sally Beauty.' TooziBooks sorts it.
Does it categorize expenses automatically?
Yes. AI sorts them into tax groups like supplies, meals, and travel. You can change any of them.
Can I see my profit and loss?
Yes. TaxHub shows money in vs. out, spending by group, and your tax estimate. Always up to date.
TooziBills — Bills & Budget
How does bill tracking work?
Add your monthly bills in BillHabit. TooziBills reminds you before each due date and checks spending against your budget.
Can I set budget limits?
Yes. Set a monthly budget per group. We tell you when you're close.
Will it remind me about upcoming bills?
Yes. A text 2–3 days before each bill, with the amount and whether your account can cover it.
TooziTime — Time Tracking
How do I track billable hours?
Log time in TimeHabit, or text your hours. TooziTime figures the charge from your rate and can turn it into an invoice.
Can I invoice from tracked time?
Yes. Pick the hours. TooziTime builds the invoice with client, hours, rates, and total.
Does it sync with my calendar?
Yes. Connect Google Calendar in Settings. TooziTime suggests hours from your appointments.
TooziAdmin — Compliance
What compliance tasks does it track?
Licenses, permits, registrations, insurance renewals, tax deadlines, and any repeat paperwork. TooziAdmin reminds you well before it’s due.
How far in advance will it remind me?
30, 14, and 3 days before each deadline. Extra reminders for big ones like tax filings.
Can I add custom compliance tasks?
Yes. Add any repeating task with a due date. TooziAdmin tracks it and reminds you.
TooziSales — Sales Tax
How does sales tax tracking work?
TooziSales tracks the sales tax you collect and what you owe in each state. It reminds you when to file.
Does it file sales tax for me?
Not yet. It figures what you owe and reminds you when to file. Filing for you is coming soon.
Which states does it support?
Every US state with sales tax. It tracks nexus thresholds (the sales amount that means you owe a state) and tells you when you may need to file somewhere new.
Troubleshooting
SMS isn't working — what do I do?
Check your number is verified in Settings → Connect SMS. Then text 'hello' to our number. No answer in a minute? Email hello@toozitax.app.
My bank connection won't sync.
Your bank may need you to log in again. In Connections, remove the link and add it back. Still stuck? Contact us.
My invoice isn't sending.
Check your client's email and that a payment method is connected (Settings → Connections). Then resend from the invoice page. Still stuck? Text us.
I'm seeing incorrect tax estimates.
Estimates use what you've logged. Connect all your income and check your expense groups. Still off? Text Toozi 'recalculate my taxes.'
