What Plaid can and can't do.
Toozi connects to your bank through Plaid, the same bank link Venmo uses. Here is exactly what that means.
- Read-onlyToozi can see your charges and deposits. It can’t move money, pay anyone, or open anything.
- We never see your bank passwordYou sign in on Plaid’s screen. Your login goes to Plaid, not to Toozi.
- Your data isn’t for saleWe use it only to keep your books. We never sell it, and the AI that sorts it doesn’t train on it.
- Unlink any timeRemove the bank in Settings whenever you want. Nothing comes in after that.

Is it safe to connect my bank?
Toozi connects through Plaid, the same bank link Venmo and thousands of money apps use. The link is read-only: Toozi sees your charges and deposits but can’t move money. You sign in on Plaid’s screen, so Toozi never sees your bank password.
Does AI see my bank account?
Toozi uses AI to sort your transactions, so it reads lines like “Sally Beauty $84.” It can’t see your password, move money or make payments. Your data is used only to keep your books. It isn’t sold, and the AI doesn’t train on it.
I don’t want to connect my bank. Can I still catch up?
Yes. Text what you made and spent, as much as you remember: “about $900 a week in cuts since January, $250 booth rent every week.” Toozi finds the write-offs in your texts. You can add a bank later.
What counts as a write-off?
Money you spend to do your work. For service pros that’s often booth or suite rent, supplies and product, tools, the work share of your phone, booking apps, card fees, classes and miles driven between jobs. Toozi spots most of these in your bank charges and asks about the unclear ones. Text it your miles.
How far back does it go?
Up to 2 years of history, depending on your bank. That covers this whole year and most of last year.
I got paid a lot in cash. What then?
The bank only sees what went through the bank. Text the cash the way you remember it, like “about $300 cash a week since March,” and Toozi adds it as income.
I don’t have receipts. Am I in trouble?
No. Your bank record shows the date, the store and the amount. Add a short note on what it was for. For cash buys with no record, write down what you can now.
What does it cost?
14 days free, no card. Then $49 a month for books, invoices, tax reminders and filing your return. Cancel by text.
Can I unlink my bank later?
Yes, any time, in Settings in your dashboard. Toozi stops getting new transactions from that bank right away.
